The Detroit Lions kickoff the regular season... 178 days, 14 hours, 37 minutes, 57 seconds ago
The sting of a 0-16 season has subsided and are replaced by renewed optimism for the upcoming season. (This is a yearly ritual for many Lion Fans…
Before the season starts: We are optimistic that we’ll be a decent team this year, or maybe even a good football team.
Once the season begins: The Lions stink. {sometimes we even vow that we are through with this team, but we never are}
After the season ends: Lick our wounds.
Repeat…)
I’m in the “optimistic stage”. Chances are we will not lose every game again this year. We’ve added alot of new players that are more talented than most of the guys that were on the team last year, including an almost complete overhaul of our defense. We have new coaches, a new GM, a new QB that people are “gushing” about, and even a new philosophy. Last year we had small, quick guys on the team. This year our guys will be much bigger. Unlike most years, I do not think ”this is the year that we finally have a team to be reckoned with”. I do think the team will be better than most people expect. We could win 7 or 8 games this year. (…but I’ll always hope for much more)
How many games will the Detroit Lions win this year?
